Crime Reports: Victim reports $800 bird stolen in far north Abilene

Incidents

1700 block of North 7th Street – Burglary of Vehicle
A woman reported that an unknown suspect entered her locked vehicle and stole nearly $1,600 worth of personally belongings including a laptop and cell phone.

800 block of Grape Street – Credit or Debit Card Abuse
A victim reported that her stolen credit card was used at a local convenience store shortly after her wallet was stolen from her vehicle.

900 block of North Jefferson Drive – Forgery; To Defraud or Harm Another
A woman reported that her step-brother forged a title transfer and bill of sale to take over her deceased father’s pickup truck.

1300 block of Locust Street – Family Violence Assault
Police found a 19-year-old woman to be assaulted by her live-in boyfriend.

3100 block of South 1st Street – Burglary of Habitation
An unknown suspect allegedly forced entry to a motel room, causing damages to walls and the trim of the door frame.

1600 block of Chachalaca Lane – Family Violence Assault
A man reported that his girlfriend hit him while driving around town. He is not pressing charges.

100 block of Montana Street – Theft of Property
A victim reported that a known suspect took the keys of his vehicle after leasing it to the suspect. Police say the victim owns the vehicle, and valued the key at $1,000.

1300 block of Andy Street – Credit or Debit Card Abuse
A victim told police an unknown suspect charged $650 to her debit card and a bank out of the area.

3600 block of North 6th Street – Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse
A victim reported unauthorized transactions on her bank card.

3700 block of Trailend Drive – Theft of Service
A bird valued at $800 was reported stolen. No public narrative listed.

700 block of North 13th Street – Assault
A victim told police an unknown woman assaulted her before taking off. The victim is not pressing charges.

2700 block of East Lake Road – Criminal Mischief
An unknown suspect smashed a vehicle window while it was parked.
