Felonies

The following people were booked into the Lee County-Tupelo Adult Jail in connection with felony charges ending Monday at 11 a.m.

Rodney D. Adams, 44, of Guntown, was arrested by the Saltillo Police Department, possession of methamphetamine.

Omarion Givon Barnett, 21, of Baldwyn, was arrested by the Saltillo Police Department, aggravated assault.

Deonte R. Gore, 23, of Tupelo, was arrested by the Mississippi Highway Patrol, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.

Maurice Deangelo Hamilton, 56, no address listed, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, violation of probation driving under the influence, no license, no tag, open container, trespassing.

Lexie A. Hutcherson, 22, no address listed, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, aggravated assault, disturbing a business.

Willis Cortez Jenkins, 38, of Tupelo, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, capias for felony possession of marijuana.

Xavier Mitchell, 27, of Tupelo, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, two counts of shooting into a vehicle, possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle.

William Tyler Phillips, 27, of Mooreville, was arrested by the Mississippi Highway Patrol, leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.

Danarius Richardson, 25, of Tupelo, was arrested by the Mississippi Department of Corrections, violation of post-release supervision.

Crystal Rochelle Smith, 30, of Baldwyn, was arrested by the Baldwyn Police Department, violation of probation.

Perez M. Walker, 31, of Tupelo, was arrested by the Mississippi Department of Corrections, violation of house arrest.

Joshua Wilkerson, 43, of Tupelo, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Department of Corrections warrant.

The following reports were filed Monday by the Lee County Sheriff's Office.

A County Road 1970, Guntown, woman got a letter from the U.S. Small Business Administration saying she owed payment on a loan from June 2023. She said she never applied for a loan, and someone must have stolen her identity to get the loan.

A County Road 754, Tupelo, man said he parked his car in his garage. The next morning, his right rear tire was flat, and he could see where it had been cut with a knife. The right front fender and the right front door of the car had been scratched by a hard, sharp object.

A County Road 590, Shannon, woman said while she was outside Lee County, she lost her driver’s license. She has made an appointment with the Mississippi Department of Public Safety to get a replacement but wanted the sheriff’s office to be aware of it as well.

A County Road 115, Shannon, woman is concerned about the health and safety of a black dog with a blue collar that lives south of her. She thinks the owners are starving the dog. She said the dog is more aggressive each time she feeds it, which is a couple of times a month.

A County Road 805, Shannon, woman said she had a small fire in her kitchen around May 6. It caused smoke damage, which forced her to move out for a while. When she returned more than a week later, she realized someone had entered her apartment and stole three televisions, a laptop and a PlayStation 5. She said the residence was secured when she left but the door was ajar, and the window was pushed open when she returned.

A U-Haul employee said a box truck was not returned on time, so he had to go recover it from a Highway 371, Mooreville, address. When he got the truck back, he noticed a suspicious odor and suspected there might be drugs inside. Deputies responded, searched the truck and found no illegal narcotics.

A County Road 900, Tupelo, man said a gray cat with a broken leg showed up around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday and wanted the animal control deputy to be aware of the injured animal.
