A 1930s period movie involving vampires will be doing some filming at Laurel Valley, and the crew is looking for local talent.

Director Ryan Coogler is teaming up with actor Michael B. Jordan for a movie with the working title "Grilled Cheese." The duo are known for their work on "Creed" and "Black Panther." Details about the movie are scarce as the filming is in its early stages, but according to the Background Casting Director Brent Caballero, the old plantations will be used, and it will involve vampires.

"This has been one that has been very secretive," Caballero said. "I've even seen a different plot rumor going around every other day about this thing. I can tell you that there's a vampire element to it. That's all I can tell you."

Director Director Ryan Coogler and actor Michael B. Jordan will be shooting a movie under the working title "Grilled Cheese," in Lafourche and other south Louisiana parishes. Filming will take place over the next few months, with a release date in the summer of 2025.
