Crash on American Way kills 1, leaves 2 minors injured

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two minors are injured, and one person is dead following a crash on American Way Monday morning.

According to Memphis Police, the incident happened in the area of American Way and Thousand Oaks a little after 8:30 a.m.

Two minors were taken to LeBonheur, one in critical and another in non-critical condition. Another person was pronounced dead on the scene.

5 injured in multiple overnight shootings

Police are asking drivers to avoid the area and expect delays.
