CPD seeking to identify 2 men connected to string of West Town, Near West Side armed robberies

CHICAGO — The Chicago Police Department is seeking to identify two suspects they say are connected to at least five armed robberies that happened in the city’s West Town neighborhood and near the United Center earlier this month.

According to Area Three detectives, the subjects pictured above are connected to five armed robberies — four of which happened in the city’s West Town neighborhood — from March 3-6.

Detectives said during each incident, the suspects would approach victims from behind and tell them they were being robbed, then one suspect would stand, grabbing his waistband or putting his hand in his jacket pocket implying he had a weapon. The suspects would then demand cellphones, money, wallets and passcodes.
