‘Take cover now!’ Video captures Oklahoma tornado

JACKSON COUNTY, Okla. (WJW) – People in Oklahoma are gearing up for another day of potentially severe storms, as they’re cleaning up from at least one tornado.

Video captured by Thea Sandmael in Jackson County, in the southwest part of the state, showed a large tornado Thursday evening.

According to the National Weather Service, the tornado was first spotted near Eldorado and moved slowly Northeast into Jackson County over a span of about 15 miles.

“Take cover now!” NWS alerted people in the path.

The tornado was rain-wrapped, according to NWS.

“Do not try and go outside to see this tornado – you will not see it!” NWS warned residents.

Local media reported at least 6 homes were damaged in the storms.
