Commissioners authorize grant application

Apr. 26—Henderson County Commissioners authorized the County to apply for the Bulletproof Vest Partnership Grant, last Tuesday.

The grant for the 2025 budget year will provide money for vests that are replaced on a five-year rotational basis.

The grant is good for two years and requires a 50% match from the County.

A motion to refund the overpayment of taxes totaling $7,024.28 was approved for the Henderson County Tax Assessor/Collector.

The donation of $3,183.19 from Malakoff I.S.D, was accepted related to an interlocal agreement between the two entities.

The funds cover the cost of material associated with Interlocal Agreement located in Precinct 1.

The Court approved an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for labor and equipment use between LaPoynor ISD and Henderson County, located in Precinct 4.

The agreement will terminate on June 1, 2025.

Commissioners accepted the Henderson County Emergency Service District #11, 2022-2023 Annual Financial Statement.

The financial report is required by state statute and is for filing purposes only.

The Court had no financial reports, payroll distributions or accounts cash Sheets, contracts, right-of-way permits, plats, bids or budget amendments come before it for consideration

A motion to pay 2024 bills totaling $566,429.26 was approved as presented.

The minutes from the April 16 meeting of the Commissioners Court were approved before Tuesday's meeting was adjourned.
