Columbus Police investigating serious motorcycle crash on Victory Drive

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A motorcyclist was seriously injured Sunday morning when his bike crashed along Victory Drive near the Civic Center.

It was a single vehicle wreck in the westbound lane curve just before the Civic Center. The westbound lane was blocked and traffic is being diverted through the South Commons parking lot.

Police on the scene say the driver of the motorcycle was transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional where that person is being treated for life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened just before 11 a.m. As police blocked traffic, items from the motorcycle were scattered across both lanes.
