City of Grand Junction annual spring cleanup

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The City of Grand Junction will host its free annual spring cleanup program from April 1-13. The city’s annual cleanup program is designed to help residents get rid of yard waste and unusable household items.

Directions for pickup:

  • Piles must be out by the start time of the first day for pickup for each area

  • For residents north of North Avenue, pickup starts April 1 at 6:30 a.m.

  • For residents south of North Avenue (includes areas of Orchard Mesa and the Redlands), pickup starts April 8 at 6:30 a.m.

  • Items must be in one pile placed up against the gutter in the front of the residence for pickup

  • Do not place items on private property, lawns, sidewalks or driveways

  • Place pile of items at least three feet from buildings, fences, mailboxes and cars

  • Keep piles away from items not intended for pickup, such as trash and recycling bins, lawn ornaments or bicycles

  • Consider donating or recycling unwanted items

  • Items or piles greater than 10 cubic yards will be subject to a $150 charge
