The Chieftain needs Student of the Week nominations. Here is how you can participate

The Pueblo Chieftain's Student of the Week feature and poll launched on Feb. 12, 2024, as a way to recognize the achievements of exceptional Pueblo-area high school students.

Each week, the Chieftain compiles a list of Student of the Week nominees from local high schools. The following Monday, nominees are featured on the Chieftain website with their photos and a short paragraph describing their achievements.

Between Monday and Thursday, Chieftain readers will have the opportunity to vote in an online poll to crown the Student of the Week. Winners are announced on the Chieftain's website every Friday and in the Chieftain's print edition every Sunday.

But there's just one problem: We need nominations! Here's how you can make sure the notable students in our community are recognized in the Chieftain's poll for Student of the Week.
