Chester County Sheriff’s Office holds vigil for fallen law enforcement officers

CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Chester County Sheriff’s Office hosted a prayer vigil in honor of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, US Marshals Service and NC Department of Corrections.

The vigil was Tuesday morning at the Gateway Conference Center in Richburg, S.C.

Monday’s tragic events ended with the loss of CMPD officer Joshua Eyer, members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Samuel Poloche and William Elliott and a Deputy U.S. Marshal who has yet to be named.

Along with the four law enforcement officers who were killed, four more are injured (three CMPD officers and a member of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force).

This event brought together the community and public safety officials from the surrounding areas to offer prayers for the Law Enforcement Community as a result of the tragic events that occurred Monday Afternoon in Charlotte.
