BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The 8th annual Cesar Chavez Breakfast is set to take place Thursday morning at the Bakersfield Marriott hotel.

Community leaders will be recognized for their contributions to the Farmworkers Institute of Education & Leadership Development, also known as FIELD.

The importance of maintaining an active lifestyle

This year’s honorees include California State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond and former State Senator Richard Polanco, among other honorees.

Tickets are $50 and can be purchased on ActionNetwork.org.
