The Up Center wants you to Step Up this weekend

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — This weekend, Step Up for the Up Center!

The annual fundraiser presented by ECPI University will take place at Harbor Park Stadium in Downtown Norfolk on Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Participants in the region’s only stairclimbing event raises funds through the Family Promise Fund.

That fund supports critical services that aid over 10,000 children, families, service members and individuals in the Hampton Roads community with disabilities. Services include counseling, early childhood education, and financial and career development.

Step Up rain or shine at the fun event. You can walk, jog, or run three laps on the lower concourses that equal a mile, according to the event.

Registration is required and costs $40 per person. The event is open to ages 8 and above.
