Camper van blaze tackled by fire crews

A camper van blaze has been tackled by firefighters on Bodmin Moor.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service sent two fire crews to the Bolventor area of the A30, near the Jamaica Inn, at 02:06 BST.

On arrival, firefighters found a 25ft (8m) campervan "well alight", the service said.

A water carrier was sent due to the remote location, it added.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: "Two appliances from Launceston and Bodmin and a water carrier from Wadebridge attended a call to a large campervan circa 25ft long on fire."

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters put the blaze out, they added.
