Caldwell Schools host enrollment and screening for kindergarten

Apr. 15—CALDWELL COUNTY — Caldwell County Schools have started kindergarten enrollment and screening for children turning 5 years old by Aug. 31, 2024. Parents seeking to enroll their children may find instructions on how to set up an enrollment account through the Caldwell County Schools home page.

To prepare for the first day of school, each elementary school will host a screening day for incoming kindergarten students. The students will complete a simple assessment, tour different school facilities and meet teachers in an event designed to help these students understand the kindergarten environment. Parents will be able to ask questions and learn more at the same time. Parents may contact the school directly to schedule make-up appointments for screenings.

— Colletsville Elementary on April 19 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

— Davenport Elementary on April 19, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

— Dudley Shoals Elementary on April 26, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

— Gamewell Elementary on April 19, from8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

— Granite Falls Elementary on April 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

— Happy Valley Elementary on April 19, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

— Hudson Elementary on April 26, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

— Kings Creek Elementary on April 16, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

— Lower Creek Elementary on April 19, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

— Sawmills Elementary on April 19, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
