Caldwell County Public Information wins Excellence in Communications Award

Apr. 19—CALDWELL COUNTY — Caldwell County Public Information Office was recently recognized by the North Carolina City and County Communicators (NC3C) for excellence in graphic design. The team won first place for design at the NC3C's annual Excellence in Communications awards, according to a press release from the county.

The winning design, created by social media specialist Kierston Matheson, was an alert template used on social media to make residents aware of important information, such as water main breaks, road closures and rabies cases, according to the press release.

The county has used the eye-catching design for nearly a year. It provides staff a flexible template that can be easily updated, allowing team members to quickly post alerts to social media, according to the press release.

This is the first NC3C award won by Caldwell County.
