Burglar found hiding in church crawl space, Asheville Police say

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) – Police arrested a suspected burglar who was reportedly hiding in an Asheville church’s crawl space Tuesday evening.

According to the Asheville Police Department, officers responded to a breaking and entering at a church on Merrimon Avenue shortly before 5:30 p.m.

Asheville Police said they searched the property for the suspect and found a man in the crawl space.

46-year-old Bradley David Quick was taken into custody and charged in connection with the burglary.

Police said Quick also faces charges related to a Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office case.

Quick was charged with four counts of felony breaking and entering, four counts of larceny after breaking and entering, larceny of a firearm, six counts of forgery of instrument, five counts of uttering forged instrument, seven counts of obtaining property under false pretense, two counts of identity theft, possession of methamphetamine, and resisting public officer.

He is being held in the Buncombe County Detention Facility without bond.
