UPDATE, April 24: According to Memphis Police, this case is being investigated as an accidental death.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A body was found in a Parkway Village lake on Tuesday, police say.

At 3:34 p.m., officers responded to the 4500 block of Water Tree Drive regarding a body being located in the lake.

Body found near pond in north Shelby County

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

This is an ongoing investigation.
