Berks County Farm Bureau shares priorities with state lawmakers

Apr. 24—The Berks County Farm Bureau recently held a legislative breakfast to share its priorities and concerns with state lawmakers representing Berks and surrounding counties.

The event, held April 16 at Wegman's Reeser Restaurant in Muhlenberg Township, was led by bureau President Larry Kehl.

It included representatives from the farm bureau, legislative offices, and other entities that support and work with agriculture in Berks, along with a number of area farmers.

Kehl's main message to the lawmakers was to let farmers farm, as he stressed the importance of not burdening them with unnecessary rules and legislation.
