Beloved Parma restaurant closing for good

PARMA, Ohio (WJW) – A beloved Parma restaurant is officially closing its doors in May.

According to a post on the Pappou’s Family Restaurant Facebook page, the restaurant will close for good on May 12.

“It is with mixed emotions that we announce the closure of our beloved family-run restaurant, effective May 12,” the post said. “After many years of serving our community with passion and dedication, we have made the difficult decision to retire and move on to the next chapter of our lives.”

According to the post, the restaurant has been serving customers for 42 years and is very thankful for all of its customers and “restaurant family.”

“As we prepare to bid farewell, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support and loyalty over the past 42 years,” the post said. “Your patronage has meant the world to us, and it has been an honor to serve you.”

Pappou’s Restaurant is also making sure that customers who still have gift certificates have time to use them and ask that they be redeemed by May 12.

“We would love for you to stop by and share this bittersweet moment with us. From now until our closing date, we invite you to visit us to say goodbye or offer your well wishes to George and the entire family,” the post said. “Your presence would truly make this transition easier for us.”
