Work begins on I-70 bridges in western Kansas

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Kansas Department of Transportation says work is getting underway this week on Interstate 70 bridges in western Kansas.

Crews will be making repairs to the bridges over K-25 at the Colby exit, the bridges over the U.S. 24 at the business exit on the east side of Goodland, and the westbound bridge just east of the I-70 rest area in Sherman County before the Colorado border. The repairs are expected to be completed by October, weather permitting.

During repair work, traffic will be reduced to one lane. There is also a reduced speed limit in the work zones with potential traffic delays of up to 5 minutes.
