BCTA earns national recognition for summer youth pass campaign; program to return this year

The Beaver County Transit Authority was nationally recognized for its 2023 summer youth pass campaign, earning a marketing award from the American Public Transportation Association.

Last summer, BCTA offered unlimited free transportation services to children, teenagers, college students and parents with children ages 6-21 through its Fast Forward Summer Pass program.

The system reported more than 4,000 trips during the program’s three-month period due, in part, to its widespread digital, print and audio marketing. This included social media, digital and print media and fliers in area schools, libraries and community centers.

The effort boosted awareness of BCTA’s public transportation services and “offered transportation disadvantaged children and teens an opportunity to increase their mobility over the summer months and ride to any number of destinations in Beaver and Allegheny counties,” according to the BCTA.
