Baton Rouge housing summit has information for homebuyers
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Councilwoman Chauna Banks and the Scotlandville Area Foundation are hosting a two-day event about housing trends and community development.
The Missing Middle Housing Summit is scheduled for Wednesday, May 1, and Thursday, May 2 at the Jewel J. Newman Community Center, located at 2013 Central Road.
Event organizers said doors open at 8:30 a.m. with discussions scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“It is not just for contractors, though there’s a lot of information for contractors. It’s not just for developers. It is also for first-time homebuyers. It’s for families with a rental property,” Banks said.
