Arkansas law enforcement officials take part in annual spring Drug Takeback Day
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Law enforcement officials from the Natural State took part in the annual Spring Drug Takeback Day Saturday afternoon.
According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, a majority of people who use a prescription medication for a non-medical purpose got it from a family member or friend.
North Little Rock police hold prescription takeback event
Officials from the Drug Enforcement Agency said that for those who couldn’t make it to a take back location during the event, there are more than 275 year-round authorized collection sites across the state.
