Another warm and gusty day

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – We continue to feel a strong breeze through the day today. Temperatures climb quickly, and highs reach the low-mid 80s, which is above average for late March.

Expect patchy clouds around today and even a few more clouds tonight as a cold front gets closer to the Tampa Bay area.

Highs return to the low-mid 80s tomorrow, and we add in a few spotty showers late in the day ahead of the approaching cold front.

The heaviest rain and storms arrive early Thursday with the front. Most areas will pick up around a half inch of rain, but isolated spots may get an inch or more.

The rain ends Thursday afternoon, and that leads into a beautiful stretch of days with low humidity, lots of sunshine and comfortable afternoons. Great weather for Easter celebrations and the Tampa Bay Air Fest. Be sure to wear sunscreen! Since it won’t feel too hot, you may stay outdoors longer.

We expect to stay rain-free through the middle of next week.
