Annual Easter celebration held at Hart Park

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — It’s an annual unannounced tradition where thousands gather every year to celebrate Easter Sunday at Hart Memorial Park in Bakersfield.

Lines of cars poured into the park as families, friends, and pets celebrated Easter, some decided to tackle the hill and try and make it to the top. Others decided to walk their pets.

WWII soldier Private James B. McCarteny laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park

People were seen playing volleyball, camping, and even braving the cold water as they take a swim.
