American Ninja Warrior Jessie Graff’s Historic Redemption In USA vs. the World

It was a bad start for Team USA sweetheart Jessie Graff as she failed to make it past the first obstacle in her run as the first woman to ever compete in American Ninja Warrior: USA vs. the World.

Graff was in absolute shock after slipping off the steps of “Snake Run.” However, in a dramatic turn of events, Team USA Captain Drew Drechsel (who has stated that Graff is his hero) announced that he had decided to sacrifice his own spot in Stage 2 to let her run instead.

Graff’s Ninja Redemption

Graff, with a second shot at victory, only needed to complete the first obstacle to win the much-needed points and tie Team USA with Team Europe for the lead in the competition. But the lady warrior, once again, proved why she is our real life Wonder Woman, continuing on in the course. After making it past the “Double Wedge”, an obstacle only two men were able to complete, Graff dominated and made history as the first woman ever to compete in, and finish, Stage 2.

As for Drechsel, the team captain’s sacrifice paid off when he epically flew through the final heat in Stage 3, winning the title for Team USA.

American Ninja Warrior airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
