Amber Alert canceled after State Police finds child

Apr. 24—A 10-year-old boy was found safely after being taken by his noncustodial mother on Monday.

On Monday afternoon, New Mexico State Police sent out an Amber Alert after Carlos Hernandez's noncustodial mother took him and fled in Northeast Albuquerque.

The case is still under investigation, State Police spokesman Ray Wilson said.

"Once we have more information it will be released," he said.
