The Alexandria VA Medical Center will host a Spring Fling open to the public from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Alexandria VA Medical Center will host a Spring Fling open to the public from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Alexandria VA Medical Center, 2495 Shreveport Highway in Pineville, will host a Spring Fling open to the public from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will include a 1-mile fun run. Registration starts at 9 a.m. and the run begins at 9:30 am. An Easter egg hunt is set for 11:30 am. The Acadian Air Med helicopter will arrive at noon. Tai Chi begins at 1:30 p.m. The day will also include large vehicle displays, information booths and emergency management.

Veterans will be able to enroll for VA health care, have a toxic exposure screening and get more information on health care benefits in addition to gaining knowledge through many informational booths that will be set up by VA programs and services, according to press release issued by the Alexandria VA Medical Center.
