AAA Texas: Tyler has cheapest gas statewide

TYLER, Texas (KETK) – AAA announced on Thursday that Tyler has the cheapest gas on average in Texas.

AAA Texas released a statement about rising seasonal gas prices, and said that Dallas currently has the highest average gas price while Tyler has the lowest.

According to the release, nationwide gas prices rise this time of year due to seasonal travel demand, switchover to “summer-blend fuel” as well as currently rising crude oil costs. Amid rising prices across the board, AAA’s research showed that Tyler has the lowest price of gas on average in Texas at $3 per gallon.

AAA found that the national average price for gas per gallon is $3.53 while the average for Texas is $3.18
