Update: ticket prices set for 80’s Hits bands, country star, coming to First Arena

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM)–Two concerts, both currently on tours of US cities, are coming to Elmira’s First Arena, one in late spring, the other in the summer. Now tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster or the First Arena Box Office.

The two concerts should appeal to a wide range of music fans. Remember, if you buy your tickets in person at the box office you will save a substantial amount of money in fees that are tacked onto online ticket purchases.

Moss, Margeson spar on First Arena issues

The first show, called “Abducted by the 80’s” will stop in Elmira as part of a larger tour of US cities on June 15. The concert rotates a lineup that includes 80’s hit bands Wang Chung (Everybody Have Fun Tonight), The Motels (Only the Lonely), Naked Eyes (Promises, Promises), Men Without Hats (Safety Dance), and Animotion (Obsession). The exact Elmira lineup has not been announced as of March 21.

Tickets are on sale now, at the First Arena Box Office for $25, or through Ticketmaster, for $30.25. By the way, seats are “General Admission”, which means it’s first come, first served on seats, and scalpers will, likely, not make money on the show unless it sells out early.

Elmira’s “Alive After 5” coming to First Arena

August 17 is the date for country artist Cooper Alan to visit First Arena. As with the “Abducted by the 80’s Tour”, tickets are listed as General Admission and are on sale now. If you purchase at the arena Box Office you’ll pay $30. On Ticketmaster, the price is $36.50, with some tickets already showing up on a resale site at $102.56. Alan has a string of hits, including Take Forever (Hally’s Song), and Colt 45 (Country Remix).

Other shows now set for First Arena include “Femmes of Rock”, on April 26. Tickets are general admission and on sale now at the First Arena box office for $25 or Ticketmaster at $30.45. There is also a VIP Package available online which is $97.35 per ticket through Ticketmaster.
