70-year-old Kentwood man killed in car crash
KENTWOOD, La. (WGNO) — Louisiana State Police troopers are investigating a crash that left a 70-year-old man dead on Wednesday, April 24.
LSP leaders reported that around 9:30 a.m. troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 1057 near Pittman Road in Tangipahoa Parish. They said the crash claimed the life of Samuel Raborn of Kentwood.
Body recovered from Mississippi River in Garyville, SJSO reports
An initial investigation revealed Raborn was heading north on Louisiana Highway 1057 in a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado before he traveled off the road and hit an embankment.
Raborn sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
LSP officials said the investigation is ongoing, and routine toxicology samples were collected.
