70 military helicopters flying through AVP this weekend

AVOCA, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport reports 70 military helicopters will be flying through the airport this weekend.

AVP officials say around 70 military helicopters will be flying through AVP’s airspace this weekend Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

The helicopters will be departing from the Rome, New York area in small groups, continuing through AVP’s airspace to their final destination in the Philadelphia area.

AVP states the times are unknown, and they will vary each day.
