5 people injured in head-on crash in Wright County
Mar. 28—BUFFALO, Minn. — Several people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday, March 27, in Wright County.
The crash occurred at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 55 at Baker Avenue Northwest in Maple Lake Township, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report.
A 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Jonah M. Madox, 38, of Cold Spring, was eastbound on Highway 55 when it collided head-on with a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country that was westbound on 55, according to the report.
The driver of the Chrysler, Margaret Louise Keesling, 54, of Silver Lake, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to HCMC Hospital, according to the report. She was wearing a seat belt.
The Chrysler was carrying five passengers:
* Aubrie Houchin, Brainerd, 15; non-life-threatening injuries; taken to Allina Buffalo for treatment. She was wearing a seat belt.
* Jase Robert Keesling, 10, Monticello; non-life-threatening injuries; taken to Children's Hospital. He was wearing a seat belt.
* Steven Robert Keesling, 30, Monticello; no injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.
* Jessica Ann Lampi, 36, Monticello. Non-life-threatening injuries; taken to Unity Hospital. Seat belt use is unknown, according to the report.
* Sierra Lee Oustad, 34, Brainerd; non-life-threatening injuries; taken to Allina Buffalo. She was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
Maddox was not injured in the crash. He was wearing a seat belt. Alcohol was a factor in the crash, according to the state patrol report.
Buffalo police and fire, Wright County Sheriff's Office, Allina, CentraCare, LifeLink and the Minnesota Department of Transportation all responded.
