$5 million Scratchers Lottery ticket sold in Oceanside

OCEANSIDE, Calif. (FOX5/KUSI) — A “Year of Fortune” Scratchers lottery ticket worth millions of dollars was recently sold at a store in North County.

According to the California Lottery, a man named Peter Turner purchased the winning ticket at a CVS retailer located at 1980 College Blvd. in Oceanside.

The $20 ticket offers 30 chances to win, with the top prize being $5 million. This makes Turner one lucky player as the odds of winning the big prize is one in 3,061,044, according to the California Lottery.

Turner is one of seven recent Scratchers winners across the Golden State who have been awarded a combined total of $27 million.
