4 men shot overnight during separate shootings, 1 dead

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said four men were shot in four separate shootings overnight.

Police said that at about 11:15 p.m., they were dispatched to the 4100 block of Hunt Place in Northeast for a shooting. MPD said they found a man who had been shot. He was conscious and breathing.

A few hours later at about 1:18 a.m., MPD was dispatched to the 1200 block of Raum St. in Northeast for a shooting.

Man shot, killed wife in Prince William County, police say

MPD said a man was found shot. He was also conscious and breathing.

At about 3:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to a local hospital at the 2500 Block of New York Ave. in Northwest D.C. for a man who walked in for help after being shot.

He was conscious and breathing.

Police said that at about 4:12 a.m., they found a car partially parked on the sidewalk at the intersection of Stanton Road and Mississippi Ave. SE.

When MPD approached the car, they found a man who had been shot. He died there.

The man was identified as 35-year-old Christian Elsberry of Clinton, Md.
