4 arrested after gang-related shooting outside WinCo in Clovis, police say

CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Four people have been arrested following a shooting that took place in the parking lot of a WinCo in Clovis earlier this month, the Clovis Police Department said on Thursday.

According to police, on April 8 at around 1 a.m., they responded to the WinCo parking lot at Ashlan and Peach avenues for reports of multiple shots fired. When officers arrived, they said they found a man in the parking lot who was shot. The victim was taken to the hospital and his injuries were described as not-life-threatening.

Police say this was a gang-related shooting that took place simply because gang members were in the same place at the same time.

On Thursday, detectives arrested 25-year-old Charles Muhammad of Fresno and 33-year-old Dominique Williams of Clovis.
