It’s been six weeks of the first criminal trial of a former president of the United States, where Donald Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. With the defense resting Tuesday, May 21, the trial is nearing its end.

Closing arguments are set for Tuesday, May 28, and in the meantime, the jury is getting a weeklong break — a scheduling decision by the judge to ensure the final stages of the trial weren’t broken up by a four-day Memorial Day weekend.
