3 hurt in Amish buggy crash in Mecosta County
DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Three people were hurt when an Amish buggy was rear-ended near Morley Friday morning.
Around 8:45 a.m., deputies with the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office were sent to Jefferson Road near 165th Avenue after receiving a report about a crash.

Responding deputies learned that a 42-year-old Morley woman was driving eastbound on Jefferson Road and rear-ended the buggy.
The buggy’s operator, a 71-year-old from Morley, and its passengers, a 13-year-old and 46-year-old from Ashland, Ohio, were all thrown from the carriage.

All three occupants received minor injuries. The 46-year-old was taken to the hospital for treatment, the sheriff’s office said.
The crash remains under investigation.
