(BCN) — A teenager, a man and a juvenile are facing multiple murder charges after being arrested for a mass shooting in King City and a separate double homicide in Monterey County, authorities announced Friday. Jonathan Leal Cervantes, 18, Pedro Manuel Nava, 32, and the juvenile, whose name and age weren’t released, all Greenfield residents, were arrested by the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, the King City Police Department and the Salinas Police Department.

They are being held on suspicion of four counts of murder, four counts of criminal conspiracy to commit murder, seven counts of attempted murder, and weapons and gang enhancements related to the King City mass shooting on March 3, according to sheriff’s officials.

They are accused of gunning down Alicia Ramirez Aparicio, Mario Guzman Mendoza, Francisco Aldape Perez and Olivo Perez Pina during Aparicio’s birthday celebration. Also, they are facing two counts of murder related to a South Monterey County double homicide that left cousins Andres Garcia and Jack Canchola dead on Feb. 24.

“It is our hope that this announcement can help restore a sense of security to the communities of King City and South Monterey County,” said Sheriff Tina Nieto. “We continue to extend our thoughts and prayers to the victims who were injured during the King City Mass Shooting. We pray for your full recovery and that peace can be restored to you and your families.”

All three suspects were scheduled for arraignments Friday in Monterey County Superior Court.
