Child injured after pursuit leads to crash in Phoenix, suspect arrested
PHOENIX - A suspect has been arrested after a pursuit on Saturday morning led to a multi-car crash at Peoria Avenue and 28th Drive that left multiple people hurt, including a child.
According to Phoenix Police, a sergeant noticed a vehicle driving out of control near Metrocenter that fled once the officer turned on his sirens.
The suspect's vehicle eventually crashed into multiple cars and the occupants fled on foot. During the pursuit, the police vehicle struck a child who ran onto the roadway.

The result of the crash led to three people, including the child, being taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the suspect's vehicle, 22-year-old Anthony Curtis, was arrested and booked into jail, police said. He is accused of multiple charges.
