2 detained after report of shots fired in on Washington Ave in Oildale

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Two people were detained after a report of shots fired in the Oildale area Thursday morning, according to sheriff’s officials.

According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the report of shots fired in the 1300 block of Washington Avenue.

As California stresses the need to crack down on crime, Bakersfield is a key city of concern

The investigation into the incident is ongoing. It was not known if any arrests were made.

No injuries were reported.
