18-wheeler rolls over on I-86, closing overpass traffic

PAINTED POST, N.Y. (WETM) – An 18-wheeler was involved in a rollover crash that took place this afternoon on I-86 in Painted Post headed into Erwin.

The crash happened around noon on Thursday, March 28, on the I-86 eastbound Exit 44 on US 15 South in Painted Post.

According to an 18 News reporter on the scene, the crash involved an 18-wheeler that rolled over. The vehicle was being taken from the scene when 18 News got there.

It is unknown if there were any injuries as a result.

Three car crash sends one to the hospital in Elmira

Gang Mills Fire Rescue and New York State Police arrived at the scene to tend to the crash that closed all lanes of traffic. According to 511NY, the lanes are still closed.

Information on the crash is limited at this time. 18 News will update the story if more information becomes available.
