17-year-old boy shot, killed in Southeast DC

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a teenage boy was killed in a shooting that happened late Wednesday night in Southeast D.C.

Officers responded to the sound of gunshots in the 2300 block of Ainger Place SE at about 10:45 p.m. There, they found 17-year-old Quentin Brown, of Southeast D.C., who’d been shot multiple times.

He was taken to a hospital where he later died.

3 killed, 2 hurt in overnight shootings in the District

The shooting on Ainger Place was one of three that happened overnight. Two others were killed and three hurt in shootings in Northeast and Northwest D.C.

Anyone with information is asked to call MPD at (202) 727-9099 or text the department’s tip line at 50411. A reward of up to $25,000 is offered to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved.
