If you thought we reached peak red this past winter, you haven’t been paying attention to street style. On the world’s most fashionable sidewalks, It girls are embracing the color in all its bloody hues—pops of candy-apple red in the shoes, cherry-red gowns, burgundy hair, strawberry makeup, and Merlot-red sweaters and suits.

The color has become so established in our wardrobes that it’s practically a neutral now—which Zoe Saldaña proved with her latest monochrome fit, composed of wine-red staples.

The heart of the ensemble was the actor’s deep V-neck dress, with a flowy asymmetric skirt that was longer at the back. Over it, she wore a deep blood-red peacoat that perfectly coordinated with her glossy strappy heels. Saldaña continued the color theme with her makeup, which included a burgundy shadow, rouge blush, and a glossy pink lip. She wore her brown hair down in silky waves and made the look even more electric with a layered white gold and diamond necklace and a shimmery silver pedicure.

The Avatar star was photographed out in New York City on Tuesday in the head-to-toe red look. It came a couple of days after she attended the American Film Institute’s 49th Life Achievement Award ceremony in a sculptural black and white gown. The strapless piece—with a print that looked like she had thin chains draped all over her body—was pulled straight from Victoria Beckham’s Fall/Winter 2024 ready-to-wear runway.
