Zendaya is a true jack of all trades. She’s a singer, dancer, actress, philanthropist, empowering voice, and now, a CoverGirl. This will be the first time that the star fronts a beauty campaign, and we’ve been waiting on the edge of our seats for this day to come. Zendaya teased the partnership on her Instagram yesterday when she posted a photo of herself rocking the rainbow hair trend with colorful makeup. In true Zendaya fashion, she will demonstrate her more-than-just-a-pretty-face abilities and will teach us her ways with effortless and experimental makeup. “I am so honored to join the company of a roster as celebrated and diverse as CoverGirls,” says Zendaya in a press release. “I can’t wait to share some of my own beauty tips with fans, and work alongside CoverGirl to continue empowering girls and women to celebrate their individuality.”

Last week, the star got us all thinking about a potential Zendaya makeup tutorial vlog, and Kim and Kylie may have some competition. She posted a photo on Instagram of her flawless makeup that she apparently did herself. She knows just how to highlight her gorgeous features and hopefully she’ll release some instructive tutorials through CoverGirl to teach us all to do the same. Being all about individuality, it’s no surprise CoverGirl chose Zendaya to front their latest campaign. Her unique beauty looks are refreshing and inspiring and she constantly changes up her look and encourages girls and women to embrace their own individuality. “Watching Zendaya’s work and authentic conversation with fans in social media was truly inspiring to us at CoverGirl,” Esi Eggleston Bracey, Executive Vice President of Global Color Cosmetics for P&G said in the press release. “She is not afraid to stand up for what she believes, and makes no apologies for who she is – we love her energy, confidence, and willingness to experiment and express herself with makeup. I know that together, we will do big things and help evolve the perception of beauty today.”

Zendaya’s CoverGirl campaign will launch at the Grammy’s on February 15, along with a series of four new products including the TruNaked eyeshadow palette, featuring a range of eight neutral colors that will flatter any skin color, and four double sided liners with a light and dark shade. Zendaya is the newest addition to a long line of African American women to represent CoverGirl, including Janelle Monae, Tyra Banks, Queen Latifah, and Rihanna. Each campaign is more beautiful and edgy than the last – Zendaya’s extra terrestrial look in one of her campaign shots takes her beauty experimentation to the next level, and Janelle Monae’s bouffant and black tie suit was among the brand’s best. Our first request for Zendaya: clue us in on how you made dark lip liner look cool at last year’s Grammy’s.
