As Parade previously reported, Miller passed away on Friday, Sept. 15, in Austin, Texas, just two days before what would have been his 44th birthday.

According to his grief-stricken mother, Patricia Miller, the soap opera star died by suicide following a years-long mental health battle. "He fought a long, hard, valiant battle with bipolar depression for years. He did everything he could to control the disease."

She added at the time, "We all loved him so much and are desperately trying to deal with our loss."
