Generations are defined by certain influences and events, categorizing people born within a specific 15- to 20-year span, the Pew Research Center reports. From baby boomers to Gen X, each age cohot has unique qualities based on the political, economic and social factors of the time.

Every day, new members of the newest generation are born. So, here's what you need to know about Gen Alpha.
