Woman Stunned to Find Possum Hiding in Her Artificial Christmas Tree

A woman got her artificial Christmas tree all set up and decorated—and then went back into the living room to see that she was not alone. A possum had gotten into her house somehow and was lounging up in her tree.

The woman was so shocked, and said that she never left any doors open to allow the animal inside. She had no idea how the possum got into the house, let alone up into her Christmas tree!

She filmed the video and pleaded “Someone help,” on TikTok. This is definitely a call for a wildlife rescue, not strangers on TikTok!

While the possum clearly isn’t welcome in the house, he’s surely made himself at home inside the Christmas tree. He looks rather comfortable nestled up in the tree!

While the woman seems really scared of the animal, one call to a wildlife rescue will totally make things better. They will come to the house and safely remove and relocate the possum to outside.

Possums are naturally curious critters who have a keen nose for food like insects. Maybe the possum thought the tree was real and that there might be something to eat up there for him.

On the user’s TikTok, she explained in a different video that she actually managed to wrangle up the possum herself! She put on thick rubber gloves and just went for it. While the possum held onto the tree for dear life with his hands, he eventually fell down and ran underneath her couch.

Finally, after a while of chasing him back and forth from beneath the couches, she managed to grab the possum! She took him outside and he ran back into the wild.

After this encounter, this woman will never see possums in the same light again. She literally had to wrestle one to the ground in order to get him to leave.

Now, she’s tasked with the feat of redecorating her tree, which was nearly knocked over in the ordeal.
