Woman Pays $40 to Hold a Koala and Gets the Cutest Picture as a Result
When you think Australia, do you think koala or kangaroo? @Kimberly got to visit recently shared a video on Monday, August 7th of her with an adorable koala. She can now mark it off of her bucket list, and she has the cutest picture ever to prove it!
In the video, we see Kimberly at maybe a zoo or sanctuary standing very still as the zookeeper approaches her with a big koala. They move very slowly, and the koala climbs onto her. They pose for a pic, and the koala looked right at the camera - she couldn't have asked for a better picture!

Kimberly explains that the opportunity to hold the cute koala and get a picture with him cost $40, and that it was totally worth it. I know if I had the chance to hold one, I'd pay the 40 bucks too!
Although the video is only 15 seconds long, people loved it and it immediately went viral once Kimberly shared it. It has nearly 7 million views and more than 2 thousand comments. @Alyssa said the same thing I was thinking, "The gentle transfer is so sweet I cannot"!
While these cuddly marsupials look like they're sweet (and they are if left alone), they can become aggressive when they feel that their safety is being threatened. @Tina Pinunari shared, "I did this, and the Koala scratched the sh*t out of my arm when they pulled him off!" So, if you're ever lucky enough to see one in the wild, make sure to steer clear and stay a safe distance away to observe them. And if you ever get a chance to hold one, know that he just might scratch you!
